Greater Glasgow and Clyde LDC is pleased to present an evening of CPD with Professor Mike Lewis ‘So just how good is your Oral Medicine?’

This evening course will provide an overview of diagnosis and contemporary treatment of those oral medicine conditions which present most frequently in primary dental care. Topics will include recurrent aphthous stomatitis, candidal infections, lichen planus, trigeminal neuralgia, burning mouth syndrome, dry mouth, geographic tongue, angular cheilitis, herpes labialis, hypersensitivity reactions, mouth cancer and potentially malignant lesions. The emphasis will be on recognition of disease and management in primary dental care. There will also be information indications for referral to specialist care and referral processes.
The material will be presented in the form of a self assessed interactive quiz that will enable participants to gauge the level of their knowledge in oral medicine.
Professor Mike Lewis. PhD, FDSRCPS, FRCPath, FDSRCS, FFGDP(UK), FHEA. Mike Lewis is Professor of Oral Medicine, at Cardiff University. He has held a number of senior professional positions including President of the British Society for Oral Medicine, President of the British Society for Oral & Dental Research, Dean of the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and Dean of the School Dentistry, Cardiff University. He has delivered more than 500 invited lectures worldwide. Mike is the co-author of six best selling medical textbooks. Mike is also a Trustee of the Oral Health Foundation.
